Hit real big tonight/ excited to report that this restaurant is authentic and wonderful. Ramen base was flavorful yet light; sushi terrific, fresh and well done. Asian mix edamame was a treat. Salmon teriyaki overcooked. Decor ok but food so outshines the place it doesn't matter. Only drawback: long waits no resys.

This little place was recommended to us. It was amazing from the service to the food! When we arrived, it was packed, a good sign! Everybody that waited on us was extremely nice, making sure that everything was OK, we got to sit right in front of the cooks who were making the rolls and the fresh entrées; the ambience was great, everyone was there to enjoy the food! After we ate everything we didn't expect to eat dessert but we did green tea. Crème brûlée was exceptional! But then everything else was too!

The temperature dropped to low 40's and we are craving for a hot bowl of chewy ramen noodles. We were near the Mercato area so we stop by the Pelican Bay Shopping mall looking for Namba Ramen & Sushi! The décor is simple, with tables closely situated and a few framed prints on the wall except by the entrance with replica of news articles about Namba. It has the look and feel of "Japanese Noodle Soup Shop". Chef KoKo is well known locally for his tonkotsu based ramen in Naples. The broth is thick, creamy and full of flavor from pork bone and narrow after long hours of cooking. We opted for the pork, Hakata Classic and the beef, Hayashi ramen. The Hakata Ramen has nice slices of chashu (pork) with ginger, wood ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots, scallions, bean sprouts, nori and half seasoned egg. The Hayashi Ramen has thinly sliced sirloin beef with shoyu sauce, garlic, scallions, bean sprouts and shitake mushroom and corn. The hot tonkotsu broth made them delicious meal! My other favorite is the Hokkaido Ramen with shrimp and calamari. Namba is an izakaya style facility but tonight we did not order any small plates, Aburi/Maki sushi or Sake. We simply sip cup of hot Jasmine Tea! Service is excellent here.

We have been here before and it is best with sushi lovers. With 2 people who don't like raw fish....it is more of a challenge. We had california roll, Unagi roll with avocado (my fav) and spicy tuna roll. Also goyza, and bao buns. And 1 tempora. The alcoholic drink selection is limited and expensive. Service Ok. The room is minimalist and small, so your experience is infringed upon by others. On this particular visit, the other denizons of the Naples "upper class" bothered me for some reason.
